Adjusting browser settings to prevent use of SSLv3

Firefox

  • in a new tab, type about:config in the address box
  • scroll down and double-click on the line security.tls.version.min and enter a 1 into the dialog box that comes up

Internet Explorer

  • Go to internet options
  • select the Advanced tab
  • scroll to the bottom and uncheck Use SSL 3.0

Chrome

*Using the directions at http://www.chromium.org/for-testers/command-line-flags add --ssl-version-min=tls1
